Why Refract

A payment shouldn't care where it's going.

Businesses keep money in one form and owe it in forty. Today that means a different provider, fee and waiting time for every corridor. Refract turns it into one call: send digital dollars or a bank transfer in, and the recipient gets the currency, rail or wallet they asked for.

  • Seconds, not days

Instant rails and digital dollars settle while you watch; slower rails are named up front.

  • Fees before you send

Network, conversion and payout costs are itemised in the quote, and the quote is what you pay.

  • One balance, every rail

Hold one balance; the router picks the path with the best total, not the best headline rate.

      FAQ

      Asked often.

      What is Refract?

A routing network for payments. You send once, from digital dollars or a bank transfer, and Refract delivers the currency, rail or wallet the recipient needs, with every fee shown first.

      What does it cost?

A 0.10% routing fee (at least $0.50, at most $50), plus the network, conversion and payout costs of the route you pick, all itemised in the quote.

      How fast is it?

Digital dollars arrive in seconds, instant bank rails in under a minute. Slower rails, like same-day or next-day banks, are named before you send.

Who holds the money on the way?

Balances sit in segregated reserves, attested every hour; a payment in flight is always a public record you can check.

Can I control what my team sends?

Yes: limits per key, allow-lists for recipients and rails, and two-person approval above an amount you choose.

      Is this a real service?

No. Refract is a design concept with demo rates and figures. Nothing on this page can send money or connect a wallet.
